Križ - Croatia

A picturesque place in the river valley Česma developed on a hill around the church. The nave, restored in Baroque style is the best preserved medieval structure in this region and the world's heritage monument. Around the church is a centuries-old park situated 1894th by the rules of the English landscape architecture.

It is worthwhile to look at the memorial home of Joseph Badalić in the village Vezišće, which is characterized by its original rural wooden architecture and by the Memorial Room of the great opera singer Milka Trnina, who was born here. The archaeological site at Sipcine near Okešinca is an evidence of early settlement of this area.

The surrounding forests are rich in oil and wildlife, and the river Česma with its fountain restocked backwaters is ideal for fishing!
