Picturesque vineyards where grapes are grown, from which is real famous champagne Bakarska produced, close to the NP Paklenica, Lokava, Black Lug, Delnice and ski centers Platak and Bjelolasica make Bakar desirable tourist destination!
The town is built of the beautiful old estate, which rises steeply to the slopes with Frankopan castle (16th century) and the newer part of the coast. Once an important trading port, fishing, wine, shipbuilding and shipping center with a nautical school opened in 1849th year, which has made a number of seamen, Bakar past 15 years starts again rates as tourism has developed in the surrounding area.
