Komiža - Croatia

The town of fishermen tradition, situated at the foot of high mountains Hum on the west side of the island Vis. Being cut off from the rest of the hill, it is facing the sea and Komiža archipelago of which are included in the most remote Adriatic islands rich in fish, especially tuna - Biševo, Palagruža, Apple, etc. So it's no wonder that the traditional kitchen is based precisely on seafood delicacies and quality local wines.

City abounds in sandy beaches with fresh water (Gusarica, Nova Posta, Velo shoreline ...) and several sandy beaches. For lovers of active holidays, Komiža truly has something to offer, scuba diving, paragliding, horseback riding, or even day trips to nearby islands - Palagruže, Diomedes island, or Biševo with beautiful Blue cave.
