Church of St. John from the 15th century on the Renaissance-Baroque square is the oldest part of town, where's the whole social life taking place.
Near Jelsa is an interesting site - Grapčeva cave, Neolithic cult place of former islanders (5000-4000 BC). consisting of large and small hall, surrounded by corridors and chambers.
