Donji Miholjac - Croatia

Heritage of the city consists of two noble castle. Another oloder large noble edifice, so called  Miholjački castle was built in 1818. by a baroness Mary Ann von Prandau (born Pejačević). Another beauty is a newer castle of the earls of Mailath, with a beautiful English-style gardens in the style of the English Tudor monarchs.

The most significant and largest park is certainly the so-called "Great Park" located within the complex Prandau-Mailath, and the beauty of the town is enriched with the park Matice hrvatske in the center, and with the small park in St. Florian.

All this gives a romantic look to this town on the Drava river, in the flat region of Slavonia. Near the town is a popular resort of population of Miholjac - "Stara Drava". Hunt, who has a long tradition in these areas is possible in the nearby forests, and fishing on the Drava river and pond. Not far from Miholjac is a protected bird reserve "Podpanj" with 106 species of birds, including two dozen endangered species in Europe.
