Bale, Istria - Croatia

Bale is a typical Istrian town, located 5 km from the sea. This small village is built from quiet, winding paved streets, centuries-old customs and traditions that resonate within the walls of a medieval castle. Palace "Bembo" from the 10th century is the biggest tourist attraction, and present a center of social life.

During the summers here are held prestigious cultural events like exhibitions, "Castrum Vallis" and "Bale night." Recently in the bay Colon, near the Bale, was revealed a very rich site of fossils - the dinosaurs and other animals from the Mesozoic era. There are plans for opening a museum in the near future.
