Kalnik - Croatia

The magnificent mountain Kalnik attracts hikers, climbers and paragliders. On the walls of the old town of Veliki Kalnik (500 m), built in the 13th century, of which today only the ruins remained, is regulated more than one hundred climbing routes and roads. Known for its Bela IV. which plum grower from Kalnik villages during the siege, brought at the night food and plums, so he donated them as a prize the noble charters.

West from the old town is a mountain lodge Kalnik on the 480 m. It can be reached by paved roads. From the mountain, hut marked trails lead to various destinations, and was built in the educational path. Openness and hospitality of local residents, and beauty are pleasing to every traveler.
