Kaštela - Croatia

Kaštela can be compared with the most beautiful and interesting places of Europe, recorded in the 19th century Saxon king in his memoirs.

Kaštela are the picturesque town of middle Dalmatia near Split, Trogir and Solin. They were formed by merging of seven smaller towns, once a fortresses (citadel) girded by walls and settlements along the coast.

In the famous stone castle Vitturi from 16 century, which looks as it has emerged from the sea, and with the land is connecetd by a bridge, there is a museum of the city Kaštela. An integral part of the castle is well-known park Vitturi, one of the most beautiful in Dalmatia. Biblical Garden in Kaštel Novom, the Botanical Garden in Kastel Luksic, as well as the Museum of Kastela witnesses about an interesting and rich history of beautiful Kaštela.
